Tamriel is wrought with confusion and chaos. The War of the Red Diamond rages on and on, and it seems the Wolf Queen's ambition knows no end. The Empire seems to shift through Emperors as readily as time shifts the seasons; Uriel III has been slain and now Cephorus Septim sits upon the Ruby Throne. However, there is more trouble stirring within the lands than political gain and mindless bloodshed. The ambition of the daedra of Oblivion is never quelled. Vaermina has gained a vested interest in the world of Nirn. As the Emperors fight for power, the Dragonfires fall to a mere smolder, leaving the veil separating the realms thin enough for dark mischief. The Dreamweaver is seeking out strong souls to influence. She visits them in their sleep, instilling paranoia and distrust among the mortals. Though her plans are unclear, many followers of the Divines continually pray for guidance and peace, for whatever the daedra is doing and bring nothing but ill to the world. It is the third era, in the year 127. The fate of Tamriel lies in your hands.
