Bosmer: Wood Elves, and natives of Valenwood. The Bosmer have the ability to commune with animals and make them their allies. They are also generally skilled archers and foresters.
Dunmer: Dark Elves, and natives of Morrowind. The Dunmer have the ability to call upon the wrath of their ancestors to protect them.

Nord: Human natives of Skyrim, and descendent of the first humans ever to arrive in Tamriel. Nords are exceptionally resistant to cold--and to attacks with frost from mages--due to their frigid homeland.

Argonian: A repilian race native to Black Marsh. Argonians have gills with which they can breathe underwater, and are resistant to dieases and poisons.
Non-playable races include, but are not limited to:
Dwemer: Also known as dwarves, the Dwemer inhabited all of Tamriel. They were advanced technicians and their ruins are known to be home to many automans that still continue to function. Their entire race mysteriously vanished centuries ago.
Falmer: Once known as snow elves, the Falmer were tricked by the Dwemer and left trapped underground. All this time in darkness has rendered them blind, but their other senses are acute. They are a savage and vengeful race, intent on destroying all life from the overworld.
Ayleid: High Elves who once lived in and ruled Cyrodiil. The Ayleid enslaved the lesser races and kept them under control until a human woman named Allessia began an uprising against them, eventually defeating their masters and founding an Empire of their own. Many ruins of the Ayleid can be found scattered throughout Cyrodiil's wilderness.
Dragons: Once abundant in Tamriel, the dragons have long since disappeared. Under the authority of Alduin, they had sought to enslave all mortal races. However, Alduin's defeat by three ancient Nord heroes left the race disorganized and they were one by one eliminated.
