Your username: Aiden
Character's name: Lyra Foxdottir, Female
Character's age: 23
Character's attitude: Lyra likes to keep to herself as often as she can, though she does not shy away from acting in front of others when she needs to. She is rather soft spoken and looked down upon for her heritage. She is a Nord by birth and upbringing, but illegitimate and not recognized by either parents. This has created a sort of soft spot in her for others who are considered outsiders and she often goes out of her way to help them. She is a loyal follower of Talos, like most of her people, though she does not express her devotion in front of others. Lyra is generally kind and agreeable, but can be easily provoked to strong bursts of anger.
Character's Race: Nord
Character's appearance: Lyra has long, curly blond hair that hands down past her shoulders and brown eyes, with a pale complexion that has tanned little from her exposure to the sun. She is mostly seen wearing a modest gown designed more for ease of movement for work than for aesthetic appeal, consisting of different shades of brown and green. However, since she originally came from Skyrim, and is the custom with many of the people there, she knows how to use a war axe and she has a decent suit of nordic steel armor, a steel sword, and a large steel shield. However, she rarely has her weapons and armor equipped while she is in the city, preferring two small daggers, one in her boot and one on her belt.
Character's allegiance: Lyra sides with anyone who fights the Aldmeri Dominion.
Weapons: Lyra owns and is proficient in the long sword and shield, as well as daggers, and wears nordic steel armor into battle (which she avoids when she can).
Other Info: Lyra works in the Imperial City Merchant District at a small general goods store as a clerk, but she also works at the local inn as a cook.
History: Lyra was born in Skyrim and lived there until the age of sixteen, when her foster parents threw her out because they could not find a man who wanted to marry an illegitimate child. She took the surname Foxdottir, meaning daughter of the fox, to denote her unknown parentage. Not sure what to do, but knowing no honorable man would take an illegitimate woman as his wife in Skyrim, Lyra left the land of her people and traveled to Cyrodil and the Imperial City. She spent a few months in the Arena, fighting her way up a few ranks to earn money, but decided the profession of gladiator did not suit her personality. So, she left the Arena and searched for a job in the Market District. She found one as a clerk at a modest general goods store. However, the meager income was not enough to support her, so she also took a job at an inn nearby as a cook and maid. She alternates her time at the shop, during the day, and the inn, at night. She has lived this way for seven years and has established a decent group of friends and a comfortable routine.
Role Play Sample: Lyra sighed. The customer was haranguing her, like he always did, about the price of Niteshade petals. And, like she had done for months, she explained calmly that their supply was small and, because the flower was poisonous, the price was higher. He banged his fist on the counter, disturbing several scrolls and empty soul gems.
"I don't care!" he bellowed in her face, his own puffing and red. "I wont spend that much money on a simple flower!"
"Then, sir," Lyra said calmly, though she itched to slam the man's face into the wall. "I suggest you go look for some yourself, then perhaps you could sell the excess to us and increase our supply, which would lower our overall prices." The harumphed and stormed out of the shop. He was an Imperial, though Lyra could see nothing noble about the man.
She finished closing up the shop and bid goodnight to the owner, a right kind Breton fellow. Lyra knew he had had his eyes on her, but she still refused his advances. Inside the inn a few blocks from the shop, Lyra tied an apron around herself and began cleaning rooms and bringing dishes to the patrons, offering a polite and friendly smile to accompany the hot meal.
