Character's name: Jasmine
Character's age: 19
Character's attitude: Jasmine is lost, angry, and confused. She wants revenge for her family, but has no idea where to start. Despite her anger, she is cunning and foxy, and a very good thief and pickpocket. She is a master of stealth and lockpicking, and of illusion magic.
Character's Race: Breton
Character's appearance: Jasmine often wears a light leather armor common to thieves. Her hair is long and dark brown, with braids framing the sides of her face. Her eyes are silvery blue, and she has a long scar along the back of her right hand.
Character's allegiance: Neutral, an active member of the Thieves Guild in Valenwood.
Weapons: A Dwemer bow with whatever arrows she can scavenge. A glass dagger for close combat. Some novice and apprentice level destruction magic.
Other Info: She has a brother, also a thief, who can be played.
History: Jasmine and her brother were the children of wealthy merchants from High Rock. They would travel all over Tamriel to sell their goods, and their father had ties with noble families in every province. Their home was in Wayrest.
One day, while in Morrowind, a group of bandits attacked their wagon, stealing their goods and killing their parents. Her brother managed to fend off the bandits until they were able to run away and hide. This was about five years ago.
Since then, Jasmine has grown to despise bandits and mercenaries, and had she the choice, she would eradicate them from the world.
Upon their return home, Jasmine and her brother found that news of the attack had preceded them. The ruler of Wayrest had acted quickly, forclosing their house and confiscating the goods, supposedly to keep thieves out. He refused to allow the children inside, despite their obvious claim.
Now homeless, the two of them quickly learned to resort to stealing, ironically. At first they would steal food from market stalls or coins left on a table. They ran all over Tamriel, whenever they had been spotted by a guard. Eventually, they settled in Valenwood, and it wasn't long before they were invited to join the Thieves Guild set up there.
Role Play Sample:
Jasmine took a breath as she crouched before the locked door, glancing around to make sure no one was watching. She inserted her pick inside the lock and wiggled it around a bit. She felt something inside match up, and she began to turn the lock. Then, quite suddenly, the pick snapped under her fingers.
Damn, she thought as she tossed the brocken lockpick aside. She had five left. That last one had been with her for quite a while. She felt around for the sweet spot again, then slightly changed the angle. After that, the lock turned smoothly. She smiled to herself.
Let's see what goodies are inside, she thought.
